The first date can make or break a future relationship. If the first date is a fail, there most likely will not be a second one. While these aren’t a guarantee, there are a few things you can do to avoid this from happening.
1. Plan Out Numerous Locations
Choosing one location for the first date can be a big mistake. Having more than one location planned not only shows your date that you put a lot of thought and effort into your night together, but also gives you a second chance if the first location ends up being stale or boring. Also, make sure the locations you choose are familiar to you
2. Have Plans but be Flexible
While it is important to have the date planned out, it is also important to be flexible with your plans. If you had a coffee date planned for after dinner, but your date keeps talking about a movie she’d really like to see, be flexible and take her to the movie. Being a good date has a lot to do with listening to your date and making sure she is having a great time.
3. Try to Keep the Conversation Alive
I’m not saying you have to plan out every single thing you are going to talk about; the last thing you want to do is look as though you’ve rehearsed the entire conversation. However, it is important to keep the conversation flowing so the date does not turn out to be boring. Relax, be yourself, and take this opportunity to get to know your date and to let your date get to know a little you.
These are just a few pointers to help make your first date a success!
