When you think of fashion what comes to mind? Fashion fads are in style for just a short moment and the fashion trends stays for more than a year. I can name a few fads for 2014 such as wedged sneakers, denim overalls, gladiator sandals, and let’s not forget mom jeans. First of all they are not flattering and a waste of money. If you’re going to try out the new fads, please and for most, try them before you buy them. Okay, enough of the heavy and let me tell you about my personal country style. I live in the country, I’m a blonde, green eyed girl and standing at 5’4″ I won’t let my height stop me from expressing my fashion sense. You could describe my style as casual country or urban. I do own a few rhinestone Miss Me jeans and rhinestone belts. A girl has to have some bling in her life. I’m loving jeggings right now and I hope they don’t go out of style anytime soon. I love to pair them with boots in the fall and winter and in the summer I like flats or a small wedged shoe. It is getting cold out and I love a comfy knitted tunic sweater styled with insulated leggings or faux leather leggings. I also like cardigans with long tanks underneath with leggings. I may be from the country but I like to be stylish and not in the way where I have to go all out and buy outrageous items you see on the run way. I’m not a model and I’m not going to amazing parties or galleries. I’m just a normal girl in her casual country gear. On the other hand, I will buy items that I know I could get use out of, and what a better item than a faux leather jacket. Leather jackets are my favorite item in my closet besides boots. There are so many colors and I love them all. You could pair them with skinny jeans and boots for a more edgy appeal or jeggings, a nice riding boot and add a scarf. Walla, a perfect outfit that’s trendy and super cute! Let’s talk about boot socks, these are very trendy right now and I absolutely love them especially with lace at the top. They make all lengths and I like the ones that go over the knee. That way you can bunch them up and it looks really cute. Another piece in my wardrobe that’s an absolute must is a tunic flannel shirt, and it can be paired with leggings, ankle boots or riding boots. If you haven’t noticed, I like my boots and I can’t get enough of them. I like western boots, riding boots, slouchy boots, ankle, mid-calf and knee high boots. Scarves are very fashionable this time of year and the knitted never ending scarves are my favorite. You don’t have to think about how you want to wrap it, you just wrap it twice and you’re on your way. One nice thing about scarves is if you forgot jewelry, you could wear the scarf and that will be your accessory for the day. These are what I love to wear and I would like to hear what your style must haves are in your wardrobe!
