Anti Aging at Any Age

It is never too early or too late to start thinking about anti-aging products. Whether you are 18 or 38, you can slow down the effects of time. While there is nothing wrong with trying to embrace your natural beauty and all of the character that comes with aging, there is no reason not to also try to keep your skin, face, and body in the best condition possible.

Anti Aging in Your 20s

You won’t be seeing many effects of aging during your 20s but you should still be thinking about preventing the effects of the environment and daily life while preserving your skin. At every age, it is critical to stick with a bare minimum routine. Many people in their 20s don’t think too much about their skin aging and create serious damage that will stick with them for life.

Sun damage is a serious contributor to rapid aging. While there are far fewer people using tanning beds these days, it is still an issue. Forget about things like building a base tan or just going in and getting a tan before big events. There are so many great sunless tanners out there that you can use at home. If you love the tanned look, invest in a good gradual tanning cream. While the instant tanning creams can create a striped or orange look, gradual tanners are practically foolproof. If you want something faster, check out your spray tan options in local salons.

By the age of 25, you should be adding some anti aging products into your routine. You should have a regular routine going at this point with products that work well for your skin type. It’s important to find a good cleanser and moisturizer that you can nightly. At 25, you should also add in a good nighttime eye cream to prevent fine line and wrinkles.
Anti Aging in Your 30s

Your skin begins to lose elasticity and moisture when you reach your 30s so it is a particularly important time to pay attention to your diet and consider adding more products into your beauty arsenal. Omega 3 fatty acids are great for keeping your skin supple. You can get them directly from food like salmon and nuts. If you are having a hard time maintaining a diet rich in omega 3, look into daily fish oil supplements.

Daily products with collagen-boosting serums are great for your skin. Add them to your night routine and plan to do weekly anti aging peels to keep your skin looking fresh.

Anti Aging in Your 40s

By your 40s, you are likely to start seeing some signs of aging regardless of how well you have taken care of your skin. It is particularly important to keep on top of moisturizing at this age. Use a morning and a night eye cream to protect this particularly sensitive area. Also look into moisturisers with vitamins A and C which will keep your skin looking dewy. There are great options for both daytime and night time moisturizers and your skin will thank you if you go through the trouble of applying cream twice per day.
