Hands Off the Tweezers

Tweezing your eyebrows can be a dangerous road to go down. Once you start it can be hard, at times almost impossible, to stop. A pluck here, another pluck there, and before you know it your full eyebrows look more like a weird, patchy line. If you have fallen victim to eyebrow over-pluck don’t worry, there is a remedy.

First of all, stick your tweezers in a bowl of water and freeze it. You are officially banned from them for at least 6-8 weeks. Why that long? It takes approximately 6-8 weeks for your brows to go through a full re-growth cycle. This is a strict ban too. No tweezing is allowed at all, even for the stragglers that drive you crazy. Remember those cute little tweezers are what got you in this situation in the first place. You can fill them in with an eyebrow pencil, but this is a serious situation you have gotten yourself into and it is going to take serious dedication to fix. What you probably don’t know is that tweezing confuses the growth cycle of your eyebrows and keeps them from growing out to their fullest potential. So you need to give yourself a full growth cycle of no tweezing in order to get your brows looking gorgeous again. In the meantime, there is some help. You can hide some of the re-growth with a thick concealer. You can also use a hair growth serum to help speed up the growth. Vitamins for hair, skin and nails also help with the process. This is going to be a tough two months and it is going to take extreme willpower on your part not to touch your brows. But just remember, that which does not kill us only makes us stronger. So hands off the tweezers!
