If there is one thing I wish I had it is fuller lips. You can use padded bras to make your chest look bigger and certain pants to give you that booty you’ve always wanted, but when it comes to getting fuller lips there aren’t too many options. Painful injections scare me and are expensive. Plus there is the fear of ending up with a duck face.
The first step in getting the appearance of fuller lips is to exfoliate them. Exfoliating will help them look ultra soft and full. I always thought that any colored lipstick would automatically help add some oomph! to my lips. Turns out I was wrong. Dark lipsticks actually make your lips look thinner (sort of like dark clothing makes your body look slimmer). If you want to boost up your lips, try wearing lighter colors, such as a pink or light purple.
Applying lipliner can also help to create the illusion of a fuller lip. Choose a color of liner that is as close to the color of the lipstick (it doesn’t have to be exact) and apply it just outside of the boarder of your natural lip. Blend the liner in fully with the lipstick so there are no lines. Another trick is to always wear lipgloss on your lips. Lipgloss is amazing for making lips look fuller than they actually are. The secret is to apply lipgloss over your lipstick in the center of your lips. This will give the illusion of a natural pout. While they are not my own personal favorite, many people swear by lip plumpers that you can buy at any makeup store. Just put on a little bit of plumping gloss and you are ready to go. Buyer beware: plumping glosses to tend to burn and tingle a bit, so keep that in mind before you go in to kiss your main squeeze.
