Winter is a great time of the year. It can be hard to keep your skin healthy and glowing in the winter. Although the cold weather can be fun, especially when Christmas is around the corner. It’s always a great time to bundle up by the crackling fire and sip on some hot cocoa. However, it is not always so fun on your skin. It is all too easy to get flaky, pasty, and dry skin in the wintertime. Here are some simple things to think about and do to avoid having dry and unhealthy skin in the cold season of the year.
Oil: Many believe it is bad to put oil on your face. However, that is not entirely true with all oils. Some oils, if you choose the right ones, are great and beneficial for the health of your skin. Use oils that are minimally processed, organic, and cold pressed for the most benefits. If you have naturally oily skin or acne prone skin, use oil like coconut oil. Use rose essential oil or olive oil if your skin is naturally dry already. This will bring extreme moisture to your face and you will be glowing in no time at all.
Eat healthy: This one may seem very basic, but the effect it can have on your skin will shock you. The wintertime is the time to stock up on foods filled with vitamin E like berries, vitamin C like spinach, and Zinc like nuts. The food you eat will show on your outer appearance, fitness wise and it will also show on your skin. Foods full of vitamin E, C, and Zinc will boost your immune system and will keep your skin healthy and glowing.
These are just a few ways you can keep your skin healthy and glowing for a long time to come.
