Summer beauty tips

Summertime is a great time of the year. Summer means no school, well for most of us, long days in the sun or at the beach, and spending time with the people we love the most. However, there can be some not so great things about summer too. Some of these things include frizzy hair and, to put it simply, melting in the sun. Here are some great tips to stay beautiful this summer, regardless of the weather.

Liquid makeup: Instead of using pencil-based makeup, like pencil eyeliner, stick to the liquid. Pencil liner will definitely smear on your face when it is hot. If you choose a great waterproof liquid liner, it will stay put no matter what. You can even go in the water with it and you will look just as you did when you applied it, hence the waterproof.

Primer: Another great way to make sure your makeup stays exactly where you want it (on your face!) is to use a good primer. Primers are great for keeping your makeup on and are also great for reducing shine on your skin. Add primer to your SPF lotion that you should be using daily, especially in the summer, and also to your moisturizer. Let it dry and then apply the makeup to your face.

Shave: The worst thing to happen is to get razor burn or have irritated skin after shaving. To help avoid this, try applying alcohol-free lotion to your skin, wherever you shaved, to avoid the burn and redness from occurring.

Cold Shower: This may sound absolutely terrible to some of you, but taking a cold shower is way better for your skin than a scorching hot one. The hot water actually takes the moisture out of your skin. If you can’t stand a cold shower, try a lukewarm shower.

These are just a few helpful tips to keep you feeling and looking wonderful this summer!
